Moto X 2017 leak, specs and rumors: new video, render show 360-degree view of handset

Moto X Play | Motorola

The alleged specs of Moto X 2017 have been going around the internet for a couple of months now, but enthusiasts seem to be unsatisfied with pure rumors and speculations. They are currently looking at the recent leak that shows what the anticipated device is made of.

It was just this month when Lenovo's upcoming Moto X 2017 was leaked online, showing what the smartphone will look like when it is announced to the public. While this has satisfied some of the enthusiasts, others are still waiting for more details.

Fortunately, a video and a render have emerged to show the specs of the Moto X 2017. The video gives the device a 360-degree view, indicating that the smartphone has a micro USB port and a headphone jack. The video may also confirm the long-standing rumor that Moto X 2017 will no longer have Moto Mods support, which is far different from the current Moto Z.

According to Android Authority and well-known tech squealer Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks), who leaked the video and the renders, the upcoming handset will not have pogo pins that enable the mods to connect to the phone.

There is also an oval-shaped fingerprint scanner located on the home button, instead of the usual square shape. Another seen feature is the USB Type-C port, which has already been seen in many flagship devices. The size of Moto X 2017, on the other hand, is measured at 150 x 73.8 x 8.4mm with 5.2-inch display.

Considering the size of the smartphone, it is highly possible that it may carry a large battery. On the downside, the publication noted that Moto X 2017 may not boast of high-end speakers or premium camera specs. The name of the device, however, remains unconfirmed.

Contrary to the recent leak, HelloMotoHK claims that the video and the renders is not of the Moto X 2017, but another phone that has a codename "Cedric."
