Moto Z and Moto Z Force updates: Moto Mods out to make superior mobile experience; Style Shells to add personal touch to smartphones
Lenovo company-owned Motorola unveiled its Moto Mods, which are modules promising to offer enhancements in the functions of the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force. These accessories to be connected to the handsets by way of 16 pogo pins are the Moto Insta-Share Projector, the JBL SoundBoost Speaker, and the Incipio offGRID Power Pack. In addition, the smartphone manufacturer has come up with a customization feature which allows the users to change the rear covers of their mobile phones, and it is named Style Shells.
First off, the Moto Insta-Share Projector allows for screen projection of 70 inches on any flat surface in order to better display photos and videos. This is ideally helpful for easier facilitation of meeting presentations or sharing snapshots and films during gatherings among family or friends. The Moto Insta-Share Projector comes with a kickstand to aid in projection at any angle. It is estimated to take up an hour before entirely consuming the device's battery power of 1100mAh.
Next, there is the option of accessory add-on called the JBL SoundBoost Speaker which conveniently gives off a high quality and rich stereo sound in any place at any time. Its use lasts up to 10 hours before having to plug in the device for recharging of battery. Just like the Moto Insta-Share Projector, the JBL SoundBoost Speaker has its handy built-in kickstand.
The third of the Moto Mods offerings is the Incipio offGRID Power Pack. Its purpose is to bring forth extra 22 hours to the mobile phone's battery life without the extra bulk. Motorola integrates this function with style as Moto Z and Moto Z Force users may choose this module's designer versions courtesy of Kate Spade New York and TUMI. As with the other two Moto Mods, the Incipio offGRID Power Pack also focuses on convenience for its consumers as it comes with a wireless charging option.
Meanwhile, the Moto Style Shells gives its users a variety of choices to change the phone's appearance. These replaceable back covers come in different colors and textures including leather and even wood.
Motorola said of its Moto Mods innovation via its official blog site: "Through the new Moto Mods Developer Program, small developers to established enterprises will have the unprecedented opportunity to help build a complete ecosystem that maximizes innovation and redefines the future of mobile."
With regard to availability for purchase, the Moto Mods and the Moto Style Shells will be out in the market alongside the release of the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force later this year.
