According to the official Motorola Blog, the new Moto Z Play is pack with an advanced battery feature that could power the device for up to 50 hours. It's amazing how the company was able to put the amazing battery in the handset, considering that it has a slim and lightweight design.

According to the company, the device will arrive in two variants—the unlocked version of the device and the Moto Z Play Droid, which will be exclusively released by Verizon. The device is expected to hit the shelves in October with a price tag of $499. Although the Lenovo has yet to provide the release date details of the device's unlocked version, the Moto Z Play Droid will be available in the US market on Sept. 8. Interested buyers can get the handset for $408 or $17 on 24-month installments.

Both versions of the Moto Z Play will run on the ultra-smooth 2.0 GHz octa-core processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. It will also carry a 5.5-inch screen with 1080p HD Super AMOLED display technology. The device definitely has enough advanced specs to make sure it runs smoothly under stress.

Other features of the device include a 16 MP primary camera with laser autofocus system. It also has a wide-angle selfie snapper with LED flash.

Meanwhile, there are reports suggesting that the device will only come with an Android 6.0 mobile operating system.
