Motorola Moto enthusiasts will be excited to know that the Motorola Moto G4 and G4 Plus are arriving in the United States on July 12, and they will be available from all major American carriers.

The Moto G4 model is GSM+ CDMA/4G LTE-capable and sports a 13-megapixel rear camera featuring HDR, face detection, and full HD video recording at 30 frames per second, plus a 5-megapixel camera in front. The device runs on a 1.5-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core CPU, and has optional storage capacity of 16 GB or 32 GB and 2 GB RAM expandable to 256 GB via microSD. It also features a 5.5-inch 1,920 × 1,080 pixel resolution display, the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 mobile operating system, and a microSDXC memory card slot. It is valued at $200.

The Moto G Plus is also GSM+ CDMA/4G LTE-capable with the same type of cameras on the G4, said to be the most advanced camera on a smartphone. It shares most of the features on the G4 with an optional 4 GB RAM upgrade plus a fingerprint scanner in front, which thus gives it a higher price point at $249.

Both models will be universally unlocked by release date so that users will not have to be limited to one carrier or a specific plan. The pair will work on GSM (AT&T or T-Mobile) and CDMA (Verizon or Sprint) networks alike. The G4 and G Plus are both fourth-generation 2016 models of the North American variant.

These super-budget friendly Moto G handsets were first unveiled in May and released in Brazil as well as India.

Motorola claims on its blogsite, "No matter where life takes you — whether you want to switch carriers or travel internationally — simply insert the SIM card of your choice and activate your plan."

The company claims that the Moto G4 allows users to keep their options open and "focus on what matters."
