Three episodes into "Mr. Robot" season 2 and already, the second installment is gearing up to be just as exciting and mind-boggling as its maiden foray into Wednesday night primetime. This week, fans saw Elliot struggling to silence Mr. Robot. The next episode, though, holds much promise, as far as Elliot forming a friendship goes.

In the third episode titled "eps2.1_k3rnel-pan1c.ksd," Elliot (Rami Malek) planned to silence Mr. Robot by overdosing on Adderall, which Leon tried to get for him. This hurls him into a twisted sequence where menacing men riding in a black Explorer took him and dragged him into a garage to funnel cement down his throat. He comes to, not in a garage, but at home with no less than Mr. Robot himself, prompting Elliot to scoop up the Adderall that he expunged and consumed them anew.

The scene doesn't paint a pretty picture, but Elliot is desperate and determined to eliminate Mr. Robot; thus, he would go to extreme lengths to do just that. Unfortunately, Mr. Robot, who has been revealed Elliot's alter ego in the guise of his dead father (Christian Slater) doesn't seem to want to go anywhere.

However, spoilers for "Mr. Robot" season 2 episode 4 seem to imply that Elliot could finally find someone, a potential friend. Check out the synopsis for the episode titled "eps2.2_init1.asec," which Carter Matt shared.

"elliot friends ray, hopes he can help finally delete mr. robot. dom makes a big discovery. darlene wonders whos the bigger threat– fbi or dark army?"

Based on the synopsis, it looks like Elliot, who truly is a lonely man, could finally see Ray (Craig Robinson) in a new light. He could perceive him as his solace or a way to eliminate the demons trying to take control of his head. It would be tough, considering the closest person to Elliot is a delusion in his head, but it could be worth the try.

Keep tuning in to "Mr. Robot" season 2, which airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. CT/10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
