'Mr. Robot' season 3 spoilers: Leak reveals character's reaction to Trump victory

A leaked script for the critically acclaimed TV drama series "Mr. Robot" showed how the anti-social computer genius Elliot (Rami Malek) felt about the recent U.S. election results.

Although it doesn't come entirely as a surprise for the fans that the protagonist will be disappointed with Donald Trump being elected president of the U.S, the writers apparently made it concrete by adding it to the script. The script was shared by creator Sam Esmail, who also directed all the episodes in the second season of the show. According to the showrunner, the script will be part of a scene from an unknown episode in season 3.

Esmail shared the leaked page on Twitter, captioning it with, "Season 3 script leaked." Since the particular scene didn't really say much about the plot for the upcoming season, it might as well be just the crew's way of expressing how much they lament the 2016 election results.

The leaked script revealed that Elliot will be visiting his psychologist, Krista (Gloria Reuben). In the scene, his therapist asks him a question she has asked before, but one he has never answered. "What is it about society that disappoints you so much," Krista asks. "Oh that's easy. Donald Trump was just elected President of the United States," Elliot responds.

The scene ends with Elliot's therapist taking a second to think before she nods and responds with, "Good point."

Krista takes a beat, nods, and simply replies, "Good point."

EW suspected that the script can't possibly be from the third season of the TV show since the following season is far from returning to the small screen. The second season of the show just ended last September; hence, viewers will get to see the third season sometime next year, probably in June or July.

Watch out for more updates on "Mr. Robot."
