'Naruto Shippuden' episode 484, 485 spoilers, news: Sasuke to face first enemies while on journey of atonement

It has been speculated that the next "Naruto Shippuden" arc episodes will focus on Sasuke's journey to atonement. It is expected to adapt its plot from the manga, "Book of Sunrise," that features the same premise of the story.

Episode 484: Sasuke against Karyu

If the speculations are true that the anime arc will not stray too much from the books, here is what's going to happen. On his way to atonement, the sixth Hokage tells Sasuke that villagers in the Land of Lightning need his help. However, one elder in the village accused him of being a member of the notorious criminal group called the Dark Thunder Group that's been plaguing the village. Despite that, Sasuke accepts the task to help the village.

The Dark Thunder Group is formed by missing-nin shinobi and commits all sorts of crimes ranging from theft to assassination. One of their bigger missions is to challenge the Kages by spreading crimes and injustice.

Sasuke, then, encounters the group leader named Karyu who also happens to admire Sasuke. But after learning that Sasuke is back working for the five Kages, Karyu was deeply disappointed and that's when the two get into a battle. Karyu launches a Lava Release attack. Sasuke charged a counter-attack by stabbing Karyu with a chidori.

While Karyu is down, Sasuke continues to extract vital information from him. The latter reveals that he was once part of the Lightning Group but it was disbanded, so he decided to form his own group. Sasuke intends to bring Karyu to Konoha's custody but before he can even do that, one villager sets Karyu on fire to avenge the death of his daughter.

Episode 484 titled "Book of Sunrise: The Detonating Man" will premiere on Dec. 1.

Episode 485: Meeting the leader of the Lightning Group

Now that his mission connects to the Lightning Group, Sasuke decides to go to Orochimaru's lair because the latter will know where to find the Lightning Group leader. They both went to an island where they can meet Oyashiro, leader of the Lightning Group.

Oyashiro is a categorized international criminal in the Shinobi world. He was called as such for relentlessly kidnapping Kekkei Genkai owners. He also runs a fighting arena called "Coliseum" where different shinobis are going to be pitted against one another.

Sasuke and Orochimaru find Oyashiru in the Coliseum. But much to Sasuke's surprise, his name was called into the pit that means he needed to win a fight first before he can get some answers from the international criminal.

Episode 485 titled "Book of Sunrise: Coliseum" airs on Dec. 8.
