'Naruto Shippuden Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto' DLC release date: New story mode, combination secret technique to launch in February
CyberConnect2 will be launching the downloadable content (DLC) for its popular fighting video game "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4." The upcoming expansion pack titled "Road to Boruto" will have an interesting new Story Mode component.
The video game developers recently teased the latest addition to the gameplay, the new Story Mode. As revealed in the official website for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," the Story Mode will be based on the animated film of the franchise which is titled, "Boruto: Naruto the Movie."
Players can expect to experience the battle scenes that were featured in the movie. Just like in "Boruto," the lead characters of the video game will be more mature than they were in the preceding titles. The developers teased that Naruto will be the 7th Hokage in this game, and Sasuke will be the Wandering Shinobi. In the upcoming expansion pack, the duo will be able to perform a new combination secret technique.
Screenshots of the characters performing the new technique were posted on the official Facebook page of the video game.
Aside from the titular character and his best friend, "Road to Boruto" will include the new generation of Shinobis, including Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki. The characters will all be playable in the "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" DLC.
Furthermore, gamers can expect new locations to be introduced in the forthcoming expansion pack. However, it is still unclear if the DLC will introduce new items to the game.
"Road to Boruto" isn't the only treat fans are getting from CyberConnect2. The video game series will be receiving a massive update in the near future, one that is believed to contain a number of additions to the current title.
According to reports, the update will consist of a new Spectator mode and it will feature an upgraded version of the game's Endless Mode. The updated game mode will be able to host eight players.
The update is expected to come on the same date the expansion pack launches. "Road to Boruto" and the update will be released on Feb. 3 ,2017.
