It is speculated that the anime series "Naruto Shippuden" is already nearing its end. So far, the recent episodes of the show have appeared to be wrapping up the current story arc, which is about the series' ultimate villainess, Kaguya Otsutsuki. After a few episodes, it is expected that Kaguya will be defeated by Naruto and Sasuke, but the next chapter will then show the greatest battle yet that will ultimately lead to the finale.

As reported by iTech Post, "Naruto Shippuden" seems to be in fast pace that the ongoing battle between Kaguya and Team 7's Kakashi, Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto is about to end. To recap, the previous episode already featured the death of Uchija Obito, and the upcoming scenes are expected to be the final efforts of Naruto and Sasuke to finally seal Kaguya. After the duo finally sealed the villainess, the anime series is not yet expected to conclude as Naruto and Sasuke will fight each other for the last time.

The episode number of the Naruto versus Sasuke arc is not yet confirmed, but the way things are going with the series, it appears that it will happen very soon. After the intense battle between Naruto and Sasuke, the series will likely have its final episode which will show the aftermath of the Great Ninja War. There will be a few flashforward scenes that will show the Konoha Village rising from the ashes, plus the new Hokage that will lead the village back to greatness.

According to Enstarz, the finale episode of "Naruto Shippuden" will be Episode 500. Some filler episodes may be added in between the canon chapters to extend the run of the series, but it is apparent that "Naruto Shippuden" will reach its grand finale before the year ends. Many fans hope that the finale of the anime series will give justice to the concluding chapter of "Naruto" original manga series.
