'Nashville' season 5 episode 3 spoilers: Maddie stands up against a diva during her internship

Maddie (Lennon Stella) will not let herself be bullied by a diva in the third episode of "Nashville" season 5.

In the sneak peek for the episode titled "Let's Put It Back Together Again," Deacon (Charles Esten) was seen working on a song for the internet comedian-turned-recording artist Ashley Willerman (Bridgit Mendler). But Ashley cannot stop herself from showing her diva side, and demanded to get her way.

Maddie, who landed an internship at the recording studio where Ashley and Deacon were working, walked in while the internet sensation was shouting at her father. She will try to calm Ashley down by giving her coffee with whipped cream. But instead of cooling down, the new artist will also turn her rage on her. Deacon and Rayna's (Connie Britton) daughter will not let this pass.

"You don't have to snap at me," Maddie told Ashley in the sneak peek. "Do you even realize how lucky you are? You should be having the time of your life right now, instead of whining about everything and being a total bitch!"

This will not sit well with Ashley. She warned Maddie that she will tell her boss about what she did to her. But it seemed like Maddie does not care if she loses her internship.

The promo trailer for the upcoming episode also showed that Maddie will meet a street musician named Clay (Joseph David-Jones). This could lead to a blossoming relationship between the two.

The trailer also showed that Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) will have an emotional reconnection with her "guardian angel" Hallie (Rhiannon Giddens) in the upcoming episode. She appeared to be laden with guilt for being the only survivor of the plane crash, but Hallie will try to comfort her.

CMT will air the third episode of "Nashville" season 5 on Friday, Jan. 12.
