'NBA 2K17' news, release date: More superstar screenshots released, European clubs announced
New screenshots from "NBA 2K17" have been released by 2K Sports. The developer gave fans a close look at the rendering of Cleveland Cavaliers superstar Kyrie Irving and Jimmy Butler of Chicago Bulls in the game.
Forbes says that this version of the game is more accurate than "NBA 2K16." The site also points out that the superstar's beard was precisely rendered as well as his skin tone.
Butler's screenshot, on the other hand, proved that "NBA 2K17" will come with more body types so as to make a better resemblance of the players.
This was evident in Butler especially comparing it to the previous game. Another is Kevin Durant's version of the upcoming game shown in the Olympics-inspired trailer, where he was shown in a more accurate smaller build.
Before Irving and Butler's screenshots were revealed, the one for "NBA 2K17" cover athlete Paul George was unveiled. Fans praised the amount of detail done on the image.
Compared to the Indiana Pacers star's likeness in the previous game, the skin is definitely richer in life-like detail as well as his hair and even his tattoos.
In other related news, it was announced that "NBA 2K17" will feature 21 European teams. All 16 clubs in the Euroleague are all included, which is a first in the series. The teams are as follows:
