'NBA 2K17' patch update, latest news: 2K Games launches new patches that add All-Star Tournament and more
2K Games has once again released new patches for the popular video game "NBA 2K17."
Based on a tweet from the video game's official Twitter account, one of the released patch adds the All-Star Tournament functionality to the hit basketball simulation game. However, although the new All-Star Tournament capability is the largest news coming from the patch releases, a deeper look in the patches shows more added features that gamers will get to enjoy.
As reported by iDigital Times, among the major additions to the "NBA 2K17" video game brought about by the patches are the updated All-Star jerseys, rosters, and the official court for the All-Star weekend in New Orleans this coming weekend.
"Park After Dark," one of the big additions to "NBA 2K17" last year, has also undergone adjustments with the latest patches applied to the game. In the past, many gamers have complained that the second edition of "Park After Dark" still lagged and some of them were not able to play for extended periods of time.
Hence, in the latest "NBA 2K17" patch update, an issue in which the game would hang when players leave or re-enter "Park After Dark" has been addressed. This patch update, which is meant to resolve the issue, indicates that another "Park After Dark" event will take place in the near future, and this could also mean that more improvements will be made to the game's feature later on.
The game has also addressed an issue involving the prolonged lapse of time during start-up between the loading of the main logo screen and the game menu. To resolve the glitch, 2K Games expanded the game's storage space usage.
As reported by iTech Post, 2K Games has also fixed the "Hop Step" exploits of "NBA 2K17," such that the chances for players to achieve a quick victory have now been reduced.
With the widespread popularity of "NBA 2K17," it looks like its game developers will only continue to improve the features of the game in order to cater to the needs of its gaming fans and to maximize their gaming experience.
