'NBA 2K17' to release in September: Game prices revealed

NBA and gaming fans are already anticipating September as it is revealed that "NBA 2K17" will be released on Sept. 20.

According to Forbes, the basketball game will be out by then and is going to be available on PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows.

Developed by Visual Concepts, the game will also be available for pre-order and those who will get the pre-ordered version can have it by Sept. 16.

This release is the earliest an NBA title has been released, as last year's edition came out on Sept. 29. 

The standard version of the game will feature Indiana Pacers' star Paul George as the cover athlete.

However, there will be other versions of the game as the Legend Edition will feature Los Angeles Lakers' own Kobe Bryant. There will be another Gold Edition that will still feature Bryant on the cover.

According to sources, pre-ordering the standard version will come with 5,000 Virtual Currency, a MyTEAM bundle and even more surprises that should be unveiled as the release date gets closer.

Operation Sports revealed the game's prices:

"NBA 2K17" Standard Version is $59.99 and will include add-ons specified above.

For the "NBA 2K17" Kobe Bryant Legend Edition, it will cost $79.99 and will have physical and digital content.

The physical content will have a limited-edition Kobe Bryant poster, a Black Mamba controller skin and two Panini Kobe Bryant trading cards.

For the digital content, 30,000 Virtual Currency is included, plus a MyTeam Bundle. Users can acquire the 2K Kobe XI shoe in-game, while other Kobe items like a Mitchell & Ness vintage Bryant jersey will be available and a Kobe hoodie.

Finally, the Legend Edition Gold will cost $99.99 and will be packed with freebies succh as 70,000 Virtual Currency, two additional MyTEAM packs, the Nike Kobe shoe collection and a special Kobe lenticular cover set.

All these digital contents come along with the same digital freebies that come in the original Legend Edition.

The physical content will also be the same as the Legend Edition.
