NBA rumors 2016: Philadelphia 76ers hope to land Jeff Teague for Nerlens Noel
As the Philadelphia 76ers continue their rebuild, there have been different talks linking one of its young stars to a move to another team.
According to HoopsHype, there have been many offers that could send Nerlens Noel, and possibly Nik Stauskas, to the Hawks as the Sixers try to get Jeff Teague.
This has come after talks that the Sixers are desperately trying to find a solid point guard to help lead the line-up as they continue to grow.
It is no secret that the Sixers have the young pieces that could possibly help them improve later on, but they need a solid guard that has experience to help direct them to the right path.
And with Teague being one of the most solid point guards in recent years, adding him to the line-up for the Sixers should be a solid move.
As for Noel, he is still a very young player at 22 years old and has two years of NBA experience under his belt.
If his progression continues, he can be a great piece to the puzzle of the Hawks with solid big men in their line-up, and can be maximized around players who already know how to play within a certain system.
In his two years with the Sixers, Noel has averaged career highs this year with 11.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Noel is entering his final year of the rookie deal and is hoping to get the numbers that could warrant a bigger contract.
On the other hand, Teague is also heading into his final year of his current contract with the Hawks and will definitely be hoping to get more money than he has at the moment.
Booming as one of the bright young guards from the East, Teague has played his entire career with the Hawks and is averaging 12.1 points and 5.2 assists in his career.
This season, he averaged 15.7 points and 5.9 assists per game, and he could hope to lock up more money than the $8,000,000 he is set to make by staying until next year.
Watch out for more on this as the summer rolls on.
