NBA trade rumors 2016: Boston Celtics to add Anthony Davis and Demarcus Cousins?
In the past few weeks, multiple basketball players have been rumored to be linked to the Boston Celtics. However, recent reports suggest that the team is eyeing a particular star player.
According to reports, the Celtics are trying to negotiate deals that would get them the New Orleans Pelicans' power forward, Anthony Davis. Though the basketball player is the star of the team, his mad skills would be rendered ineffective without the support he needs. Reports say the Pelicans are willing to trade the player since the team cannot provide the necessary members that could support him.
Furthermore, news reports suggest that the Celtics might be a star-studded team in the upcoming season. Aside from Davis, DeMarcus Cousins will reportedly be leaving the Sacramento Kings to join the Boston Celtics. The team has been upgrading their rosters in hopes of becoming a strong contender in the upcoming league.
So far, the team's biggest acquisition this off-season is Al Horford. The player signed a contract with the Celtics last July.
In a report by Fox Sports' Brett Pollakoff, he mentioned nine NBA players who will most likely be traded before the season begins. He mentioned Nick Young of the Lakers, Rudy Gay from Sacramento Kings, Zach Randolph from the Memphis Grizzlies, Danilo Gallinari from Denver Nuggets, Brandon Knight from Phoenix Suns, Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics, Greg Monroe from the Milwaukee Bucks, Rick Rubio from the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Nerlens Noel from the Philadelphia 76ers.
Reports say that all the aforementioned teams are gearing up for a better season, which means they are currently rebuilding their teams. No official statements have been made about the said players' future, but if the reports are accurate, they will soon be in their new respective teams.
