NBA trade rumors 2016: Toronto Raptors coming for DeMarcus Cousins; Klay Thompson moving to Denver Nuggets?
NBA trade rumors are swirling around once again, and fans are wondering if any of them are true. The latest rumors surround stars DeMarcus Cousins and Klay Thompson.
According to reports, Cousins may be traded from the Sacramento Kings to the Toronto Raptors. Several fans suggest that the young power forward is already set to leave his current team even before the new season begins.
And if Cousins does leave, where would he go? The Raptors may be a possible destination since they have been aiming to improve their roster this year and look to be real contenders for the title. Cousins will be a perfect addition to the list, especially after joining the Rio Olympics with the United States men's national basketball team.
He would also be playing alongside Raptors' most talented players including DeMar DeRozan, shooting guard, and Kyle Lowry, point guard. If Cousins does indeed get traded to the Canadian team, they would look, on paper, like real contenders this season.
Another hot topic on the rumor mill is Thompson's trade from the Golden State Warriors to the Denver Nuggets. Although it seems like odd timing for the team to trade Thompson, there are possible reasons as to why the 26-year-old basketball player could be moved.
Rumors have it that Thompson's attitude after losing to the Cavaliers during the NBA Finals have turned off several of his teammates. It's said that he refused to shake hands with any of the Cavaliers players and walked off the court right after the final game.
Apart from this, rumors claim that Thompson is having a difficult time establishing team chemistry early in the season. Nonetheless, if the trade rumors turn out to be true, Thompson would be a great addition to the Nuggets. He is a two-time NBA All-Star and is known to be one of the best shooters in the NBA. He may be traded off with Danilo Gallinari.
None of the information revealed is confirmed yet, so it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt.
