"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 will be back with new episodes next year. New details about the upcoming installment have been revealed.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" ("NCIS: LA") season 8, episode 12, "Kulinda," will see Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) and Callen (Chris O'Donnell) talk about their relationship.

The midseason finale saw the two rekindle their relationship despite Callen's initial efforts to get away from his former girlfriend with some lame excuses.

By the end of the "NCIS: LA" season 8 midseason finale, Callen shared Christmas dinner with his old flame, giving way to a possible reunion.

The first episode of "NCIS: LA" season 8 will see the pair discuss "the next steps in their relationship," which suggests that the two might get a second chance at love.

Either way, it will be difficult to resist as it appears that Anna will be working more frequently with the team than ever before.

"NCIS: LA" season 8, episode 7 will also see Sam (LL Cool J) go undercover in a private security firm to learn more about the death of a Navy reservist while he protected a city councilman.

It turns out that the security firm is connected with links to several criminal organizations and may have set up the Navy reservist to be killed while doing his job.

It will be interesting to see Sam going undercover once again as it has been a while since he did so. Whatever this case ends up being, fans will learn next year when "NCIS: LA" season 8 returns.

Meanwhile, it looks like the new year is looking good for Kensi (Daniela Ruah), who is making a great recovery. It is expected that she will be back to work in no time although there is no way of knowing when exactly.

Looking at how she was in the "NCIS: LA" season 8 midseason finale, it looks like it will not take long before she returns.

"NCIS: LA" season 8 returns with episode 12, "Kulinda," on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
