'NCIS' season 14 episode 14 spoilers, news: Gibbs and the team work with DiNozzo Sr. on a case
In the upcoming episode of "NCIS" season 14 that will premiere next Tuesday, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his NCIS team will be working with Anthony DiNozzo, Sr. (Robert Wagner) on a case. Meanwhile, Jimmy (Brian Dietzen) has become Dr. Palmer, and there will be certain changes in the team.
In episode 14 of "NCIS" season 14 titled "Nonstop," NCIS will be working with a group of investigators that include Tony DiNozzo's (Michael Weatherly) father on a murder case.
The synopsis reads: "The murder of a Petty Officer in a small town outside D.C. prompts NCIS to once again work with 'The Sherlocks,' a privately funded investigative team that includes their newest member, Anthony DiNozzo, Sr."
The Sherlock Society first appeared in season 13, and it was revealed that Ducky (David McCallum) was once part of the group that plays by their own terms and focuses on cold cases.
Meanwhile, it was revealed in episode 13, titled "Keep Going," that Palmer has become a medical examiner, and the team and Palmer himself will be going through certain changes.
Dietzen shared in an interview with TV Guide that "A lot of his teammates and characters on the show are going to be looking at Jimmy through a new lens."
The actor added that over the course of 13 years, his character has grown a lot, and his relationship with Ducky has "gone from mentor/student to friends, to co-workers, and now to two doctors together under one roof."
Dietzen then said that Palmer chose to keep his new status a secret from the team because he doesn't want to spoil what he has going on.
"He doesn't want to try and alter anything just out of ego, or just because he has this new degree," Dietzen explained.
"NCIS" season 14 airs every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
