'New Horizon: Zero Dawn' release date, news: trailer video shows Aloy and what she has to endure
Gamers have been wondering what "New Horizon: Zero Dawn" has to offer, considering that news on its gameplay remains scarce. While there are several trailers already out, the short audiovisuals are not enough to disclose the entirety of the game.
Good thing, another video has come out to show what the title is all about. Now, gamers are able to see a setting wherein tribal characters are interacting with futuristic dinosaurs and other impressive features that can soon be played.
The trailer gives a glimpse of title's storyline, particularly of the main character named Aloy. Following the brutal killing of her people, she goes on a journey to search for the masked villains who are responsible for the brutal killing. Her adventure comes with exploring different locations and facing the robotic dinosaurs along the way.
"In a lush, post-apocalyptic world where nature has reclaimed the ruins of a forgotten civilization, pockets of humanity live on in primitive hunter-gatherer tribes. Their dominion over the new wilderness has been usurped by the Machines — fearsome mechanical creatures of unknown origin," the game description reads on PlayStation Store.
According to CinemaBlend, it seems like Aloy will be fighting against mask-wearing enemies while the rest of the world is in chaos. The main hero discovers that the masked villains are able to manipulate the robotic dinosaurs, causing them to create chaos.
The publication also noted that Guerilla Games holds a certain reputation of giving out cutting-edge technology, which is obvious with "Killzone." The same technology is seen in "New Horizon: Zero Dawn" in which players are to be captivated by its post-apocalyptic world setting, with tribal people using relics and robotic dinosaurs roaming around their universe.
However, the masked warriors' source of power remains to be a mystery. The video does not show who will be the ally of Aloy in her fight against her enemies as well. All these will soon be unveiled once "New Horizon: Zero Dawn" launches on Feb. 28 for PlayStation 4 (PS4).
