James Bond 'Spectre' Release Date Delay? Filming Suffers Another Accident After Daniel Craig's Injury
The latest James Bond film has suffered another accident when a camera truck veered off the road, crashing into a barn that seriously injured at least one crew member of "Spectre."
Terry Madden, second unit assistant director, suffered multiple fractures in his leg following the accident while filming for the 24th James Bond film in Solden, Austria.
Madden has been a series regular who has been working with Daniel Craig's Bond movies since 2006's "Casino Royale," "Skyfall," and "Quantum of Solace" as well as every Bond films made since 1981's "For Your Eyes Only," The Hollywood Reporter said, citing sources.
The accident is the second to hit the production of "Spectre" following Craig's knee injury during a fight scene at Pinewood Studios in London last week.
Daniel Craig's knee injury has put "Spectre" filming on hold as James Bond's latest adventure hits a roadblock since new schedule for the film depends on the star's recovery, the Sun reported.
Although Craig was initially expected to return to work a few days after his injury on set, film producers were reportedly so concerned that they axed the planned stunt shooting in London on Sunday.
"Daniel's injury is a real concern. Missed deadlines are a nightmare in the film world as it pushes everything back. Then not all the iconic locations can be rebooked easily or quickly," the Mirror reported, citing sources.
"In two weeks, filming is due to switch to Rome and bosses fear Daniel's recovery may mean they have to plan around their main star. It's certainly not ideal," it added.
Filming for the 24th James Bond film is taking place in various parts of Europe, including Austria, London and Rome.
Director Sam Mendes is now racing against time to get the film finished in time for its release in cinemas on Oct. 23 in United Kingdom and a few weeks later all over the world.
