An evangelical church in New Jersey is preparing to hold the largest Easter egg hunt in the state by hiding more than 100,000 Easter eggs for children to find this coming Easter Sunday.

The fast-growing Liquid Church is preparing to hide the 100,000 eggs at its four campuses throughout New Jersey, to be collected by children on April 4 and 5. The church says on its website that its Jersey Egg Hunt will be free for participating families, but registration is required.

The massive event will take place in 14 different locations throughout New Jersey, including the cities of Morristown, Mountainside, New Brunswick and Nutley, where the church's congregations are located.

"At Liquid, one of our core values is that Church can be FUN. We hope families joining us for the Jersey Egg Hunt will have a chance to experience church in a refreshing way," Tim Lucas, founding and lead pastor of Liquid Church, said in a statement announcing the state's largest egg hunt.

According to CBS News, the eggs will be filled with a variety of prizes, including candy, toys, and four IPad certificates.

"Easter is the season of resurrection. It's all about new life and celebration and that's what we will do at Liquid Church," Lucas told the media outlet.

The massive egg hunt will also include music, and all participants will be given a free CD containing music provided by the church.

The Liquid Church's website adds that it will take 500 church volunteers to distribute the eggs at the many locations this weekend. Children will search for their eggs in groups.
