It appears the New Orleans Pelicans are looking at another forward who may help them reach elite status.

The Pelicans are reportedly looking at Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets to strengthen the team.

It appears that the Pelicans feel that Faried can complement star Anthony Davis' game in order to help them compete with the best teams in the Western Conference.

Between the two, Davis is the undisputed star, as he has more tools in the arsenal to be able to beat down defenses.

However, one cannot deny the energy and aggression that Faried brings to the table especially when trying to track down balls for a rebound.

Furthermore, it was also reported that there is a possibility of Faried moving on to New Orleans to bring a more exciting style of basketball to the area.

Faried is known for his smart cuts to the basket and ferocious slam dunks that excite the crowd.

While that is all well and good, he may still need to develop a new facet to his game as Faried can sometimes be a liability on the defensive end.

If Faried comes to the Pelicans, he should be able to help Davis out on the defensive end as they battle players from the block.

Some also note that if Faried comes to the team, it will force Davis to become a center, and that is probably not the best idea to have their best basketball player risking injury by banging with some of the natural centers in the league.

Entering his sixth season in the league, Faried has been shopped by the Nuggets given the fact that Denver is now seeing Nikola Jokic as the future of the squad.

Despite this, Faried still puts up good numbers as he averages 12.3 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per night which should be a good addition to the struggling Pelicans.
