Nexus 6 vs Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Comparison: Specs, Features Review - Bigger Google Phablet Faces Big Test
Google made known its plan to dominate the phablet market when it released the Nexus 6. But it now faces strong competition from the Chinese company Xiaomi which has launched its cheaper yet powerful Mi Note Pro.
The Nexus 6 is a huge phablet that has outstanding design with faux metal plastic on its back panel which is very smooth to the touch. Additionally, it has a metal band running around its edge which gives it a premium look. As for Mi Note Pro, it has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on its front and back which is curved and it is wrapped around a premium metal frame.
The Mi Note Pro has a 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, a density of 515 pixels per inch and a screen to body ratio of 74.4 percent. Compared to this, Nexus 6 has a bigger 5.96-inch AMOLED capacitive screen, with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, a density of 493 pixels per inch and a screen to body ration of 74.1 percent.
Comparing their specs, the Nexus 6 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. The Mi Note Pro has the latest Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. The Mi Note Pro also has 4 GB RAM compared to the 3 GB version of the Nexus 6. However, both devices do not have a memory card slot.
In terms of their cameras, both have 13 megapixel shooters at their rear. As for their front facing versions, the Nexus 6 has a 2 megapixel shooter compared to the 4 megapixel version on the Mi Note Pro.
Finally in terms of price, the Mi Note Pro costs $599 without a contract while the Nexus 6 costs $682 without a contract.
