Nexus 9 Release Date, Specs News: Will Device Meet Expectations About Being a Super Tablet?
Mention the word "Google" and it's hard not to think of superior quality and strict attention paid to details. The Nexus 9 is a tablet that's riding high on the Google name, that's why expectations about it being possibly a super tab are not surprising.
However, there are two things to keep in mind as far as the Nexus 9 is concerned. First, it is not manufactured by Google per se. Google is not a device producer or manufacturer. The Nexus 9 is made by HTC. The Google trademark is part of the identity of Nexus 9 because the concept behind it, as to looks and usability features, is Google's.
Second, no matter what its advance reputation may be, the Nexus 9 won't be the ultimate replacement for the iPad, which is still considered as the king of all tablets, with Apple still having a strong hold on the market, something which cannot be removed overnight.
Just the same, there's a strong possibility that many, ranging from gamers to businessmen, will intensely like the Nexus 9, going by its impressive features: a 64 bit processor, excellent for both the use of productivity apps and gaming; front facing dual BoomSound stereo speakers, great for sound clarity and fullness of volume; thickness of only 0.31 inches; anti-slide soft touch material covering the aluminum back panel; a weight of only 0.93 lbs., and, of course, the Android powered interface.
With all those qualities, a buyer would be hard pressed to ignore the sleek but powerful beauty that is the Nexus 9. It's simple yet robust, and can be used with ease by nearly everyone, making it a close candidate as a "super tab."
But to compare it with the iPad? No, that won't do. They're like apples and oranges, after all. Both are delicious and nutritious, but totally unlike each other.
