The Dallas Cowboys' top priority is to trade quarterback Tony Romo, but it appears that it is going to be difficult. Meanwhile, San Diego Chargers' Philip Rivers is surrounded by rumors of looking for a trade because of the team's relocation to Los Angeles.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network tweeted that it is the Cowboys' top priority to trade Romo for this year.

"Was asked about #Cowboys' plans for Tony Romo in 2017. No secret, #Broncos are his No. 1 spot. I'm told DEN is not inclined to trade for him," the post read.

Yahoo! reported that Rapoport confirmed that the Denver Broncos are not "inclined" to bring in Romo.

One of the possible reasons is that Romo has three years left to play with a $54 million deal on his contract. He is also expected to take a salary cap of $24–25 million in each season until 2019.

Other teams that Romo is willing to take on are the Buffalo Bills, the Chicago Bears, and the Houston Texans. But Romo will have to renegotiate his contract for any other team to be willing to take him in a trade.

But the Cowboys expressed their desire to bring Romo up to a championship-caliber team. "They are going to want to take care of him and make sure to send him to somewhere that can compete for championships," Rapoport shared.

Aside from the conflict with Romo's contract, it is also possible that the quarterback decides not to play for his team next season with the anticipation that he might only be a backup player for the Broncos.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Philip Rivers is looking for a trade to separate from the San Diego Chargers because of the team's relocation from San Diego to Los Angeles.

Jordan Schultz of Huffington Post tweeted that Rivers is scouting a trade with the San Francisco 49ers.

"Hearing Phillip Rivers forcing a trade to #49ers is real. Disappointed in the LA move and wants to have say in GM/coach hiring process," the post read.

But Profootball Talk reported that Rivers was aware of the Chargers' upcoming relocation and willingly signed the $83.25 million contract that ties him until 2019, which refutes that the player is looking to exit because of the move to Los Angeles.
