Nintendo NX release date news update: Square Enix considers possibility of bringing 'Dragon Quest Builders' to console

Although the highly-anticipated Nintendo NX remains a mystery, more news comes in about the titles to expect from this enigma of a console.

"Dragon Quest" producer Noriyoshi Fujimoto revealed to DualShockers that while it is still up in the air, they could port "Dragon Quest Builders" to the console.

Fujimoto did not go into detail about it, but for now, it appears that Square Enix is looking into the possibility of bringing the sandbox action role-playing video game to the Nintendo NX.

Meanwhile, there were also rumors going around that the "Kingdom Hearts 3" is headed to the NX. The talks started with a screenshot of a listing of the game on EB Games Australia popped up.

The listing said "TBC 2017" for release date and that the game, which has no launch date yet, is available for preorder on the said website with a price of $119.95. It turns out that the listing was fake, as per EB Games Australia itself.

"This item has never been available for preorder on our website. I would guess some amount of Photoshop was involved," the site tweeted to a fan who asked about the authenticity of the leak.

It is a mystery if this also means that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is not getting a Nintendo NX version. As International Business Times point out, Square Enix and Nintendo go way back.

Many titles from the hit series launched to Nintendo-branded platforms such as the DS and the Gameboy. With that said, there could still be a possibility that a Nintendo NX launch for "Kingdom Hearts 3" could happen.

However, it is important to note that the highly-anticipated title is currently only being developed for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

With regards to the Nintendo NX console itself, an updated patent revealed that the machine will have a Detachable D-Pad, which supports the rumors that Nintendo is going for a flexible ad portable design.

A release date for the Nintendo NX is yet to be announced, but it is expected that it will be launched by March of next year.
