Nintendo Switch news 2017: release date, price revealed
Nintendo finally unveiled the release date details and store prices for its latest gaming console system Nintendo Switch during the company's latest live stream event.
According to the Japanese gaming corporation, the new gaming platform will be released on Friday, March 3 in the United States.
There will be two versions of the upcoming device, including the Nintendo Switch with Gray Joy-Con package and the Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy-Con packages. Both packages will be sold for $299.99.
The livestream event also revealed that each Nintendo Switch package will come with the two-in-one tablet-console device, a set of Joy-Con with either grey or red and blue colors, the Switch dock that can be connected to the player's television for indoor gaming, the Joy-Con dock that also serves as gamepad, a pair of wrist straps to secure the Joy-Con while the players are playing a motion game, as well a power cable and an HDMI cable.
But those who still want to purchase extra accessories can also purchase individual items on Nintendo's official website.
A list of game titles that will be released for Nintendo Switch during its launch date was also revealed by CNet. It includes "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "FIFA," "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," "Splatoon 2," "Arms," "Super Mario Odyssey" and "Xenoblade Chronicles 2." These games can be purchased by Amazon Prime members for a discounted price of $49, but the nonmembers can also buy each game title for $60.
Other titles include "1–2-Switch," "Dragon Quest Heroes I and II," "Project Octopath Traveler," "Just Dance 2017," "Fire Emblem Warriors" and "LEGO City Undercover." More titles are expected to be announced prior to the new console's launch date.
Those who want to purchase the new Nintendo Switch console and its individual accessories ahead of time can now preorder online.
