'No Man's Sky' release date update and news: Hello Games to delay the release yet again?
The highly anticipated game, "No Man's Sky" has had its share of delays along the way, which have caused disappointments to many of its fans. Some of them are already losing patience with the game developer Hello Games who has enough reasons why it had to delay the launching of the title. A few days ago, a rumor has started that the game will be delayed again and it didn't take long before fans express their dismay on social media sites and various online forums.
The rumor was sparked by a Twitter post from one of the founders of Hello Games, Sean Murray, who stated that a refund will be provided to fans that have already paid for the digital pre-orders of "No Man's Sky." However, he also made it clear that no such delay will happen this time and the game title will definitely come out in August.
"Check for a PSN mail about your NMS pre-order (says the game will release before Dec31st). Don't stress. No date change! Just standard thing" Murray wrote on Twitter.
"We refunded NMS digital PSN pre-orders cos of date change. Opt back in if you still wanna play in August!" he added in another Twitter post.
"No Man's Sky" was confirmed by Sony last month after it was hinted at in a leak. Although there are players hoping to play the game sooner than later, many are just happy that the game finally has a specific release date.
The game will be released in North America on Aug. 9 and will arrive on Aug. 10 in the U.K. and most European countries. Previous reports have said that a few fans that were not happy about the delay of the game have sent death threats to the founder of the company.
Fans are also hoping that Hello Games will provide more details about the upcoming game title before its scheduled release date.
