"No Man's Sky" faced a lot of criticism after it was finally released last August. Even though it took some time, Hello Games was able to alleviate some of the players' complaints via the recently released Foundation Update. Now, based on a job listing posted on the developer's website, it seems that more new content, possibly in the form of a Story Mode, is slated for the action-adventure survival video game.

Last week, Hello Games updated their website to announce that they are currently hiring.

"The future is looking super exciting, and we've got loads to get done. If you're amazingly talented and an all-round lovely person, then we'd love you to come join our tight-knit team," the update reads.

The game developer is looking for a new writer, quality assurance (QA) tester, an experienced programmer and a graduate programmer. Out of all the available positions, it is the writer position that has piqued the interest of "No Man's Sky" players.

While specific details on what the writer will be doing was not stated, Hello Games requires the candidate to have "a track record of delivering incredibly engaging content" and "can turn our hand to any kind of writing, both creative and non-creative."

Reports suggest that Hello Games could be working on a Story Mode for "No Man's Sky." The video game is set in a massive open world environment where the players' choices mold the kind of gameplay experience that they have. With the rumored introduction of a Story Mode, players could also have the option of playing a certain narrative where they will be tasked to complete missions.

Given that Hello Games is still hiring for the position, the touted update is not expected to arrive anytime soon. Furthermore, the game developer has not confirmed whether they are indeed working on a Story Mode. As such, players will just have to stay tuned for more updates in the near future.

"No Man's Sky" is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows PC.
