NVIDIA is currently dominating the market of GPUs and with AMD catching up from behind, and there are talks that they plan to release another GPU in the GTX series called the GTX 1050. It's rumored to be released in October, but as of now, NVIDIA has yet to confirm or deny any speculations from the community.

As of now, NVIDIA is at the top with their GTX 1080, but reports claim that they plan to release another GPU that could be for the mainstream market. The GTX 1050 is even rumored to be the previously launched GTX 1060 3 GB which did not do that well. This time around, the GTX 1050 will be based on Pascal GP107 graphics technology.

The GeForce GTX 1050 will be sporting a higher memory than the 1060 at 4 GB GDDR5 (the GTX 1060 with 3 GB). However, the GTX 1060's 6 GB version is still the superior video card when it comes to memory. The GTX 1050 will have a total of 52.1 GPixel/s for the pixel fillrate and 84.2 GTexel/s for the texture fillrate. It also has a TDP of 75 watts which makes it somewhat similar to AMD's Radeon RX.

The GTX 1050 will also have 768 CUDA Cores and a clock boost of 1380. Some people may not consider it as a huge improvement from other previous GPUs in the GTX series, and rumors suggest that the GTX 1050 may be the lowest tiered video card that NVIDIA has in the GTX 1000 family. Nevertheless, hardcore gamers may be happy to hear that NVIDIA has a mid-level graphics card that is more affordable than the 1080.

Bench Life reports that the GTX 1050 may go on to the market for $150, but no official announcements from NVIDIA have made its way online. As of now, the company has not even confirmed any details on the speculated features of the upcoming GPU.

The GTX 1050 is predicted to be announced this coming October.
