With the Oklahoma City Thunder having a knack for finding great players from different places, they recently signed a 2014 second rounder to an undisclosed contract.

According to the NBA, the Western Conference team signed guard Semaj Christon.

The deal was announced by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti, but they did not divulge the details of the deal.

Coming out of Xavier, Christon was drafted in 2014 by the Miami Heat as the 55th pick overall.

The very next day, he was traded, along with PJ Hairston, to the Charlotte Bobcats for Shabazz Napier.

During his college days, Christon was a good player as he averaged 16.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game in two seasons with Xavier.

Along with impressive numbers, Christon also shot 46 percent from the field, including 34 percent from beyond the arc and 67 percent from the free throw line.

In the 2014-15 season, Christon played with the Oklahoma City Blue where he impressed in 44 games as he averaged 18.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game in 35 minutes a night.

Having those numbers, Christon finished the season as only one of two players who finished the season while scoring more than 18 points, grabbing three or more rebounds, dishing out 5.5 or more assists and getting 1.5 or more steals.

Last season, the 6'3, 190-pound player spent his time in Italy as he played for VL Pesaro. In 30 games, Christon averaged an impressive 14.3 points, 3.7 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game while playing 33 minutes.

As a guard, he would need to improve drastically from the stripe if he wants to continue growing in the NBA.

Only 23 years old, the future looks bright for Christon as he will get to play alongside great guards like Russell Westbrook and Victor Oladipo to help develop his skills.
