Trouble continues to hound Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Rumple's (Robert Carlyle) relationship in the midseason finale of "Once Upon a Time" season 6.

In the episode titled "Changelings," Belle gave birth to their son Gideon after she drank a tea that fast-tracked her pregnancy. But Belle decided to send the baby away under The Blue Fairy's (Keegan Connor Tracy) care to keep him out of his Rumple's control because she believes that the father of her child will only bring him harm.

But it seems like Belle's decision is not enough to keep the baby out of danger, since the synopsis for the upcoming winter finale reveals that Belle and Gold will face an unexpected threat that will involve their newborn son.

De Ravin talked to TVLine to tease fans on what to expect in the relationship between her character and Rumple. According to the actress, Belle believes that Rumple should be blamed for the danger that will possibly harm their child and cause trouble in their relationship.

"It's a struggle, because if you look at and analyze everything that Rumple does — whether it's motivated by his addiction to magic or not — it's to protect Belle, to protect his children," De Ravin stated. "You find out a little bit more about that this week, and yes, Belle and Gold are faced with probably one of the biggest surprises they've had in a long time."

The upcoming winter finale of "Once Upon a Time" season 6 will also reveal that the Evil Queen (Lana Parilla) once again showed that she can manipulate things in Storybrooke by using Aladdin's (Deniz Akdeniz) magic lamp to grant Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) secret wish to stop being the Savior.

But Regina (Parilla) will be going on a tricky mission to defeat her evil alter ego while Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) and Henry (Jared Gilmore) will do everything that they can to keep the Evil Queen in sight.

The winter premiere of "Once Upon a Time" season 6 is scheduled to air on ABC on Sunday, Dec. 4.
