'Once Upon a Time' season 6 spoilers, plot news: Cinderella, other characters returning; Craig Horner cast in guest role
"Once Upon a Time" season 6 seems to have a ton of surprises for the eager fans of the show. It was reported that Cinderella a.k.a. Ashley Boyd, portrayed by Jessy Schram, will be returning to the upcoming installment. She will no doubt be happily reunited with Snow White, played by Ginnifer Goodwin. This is slated for the third episode of the new season.
Episode 3 of season 6 is said to take up the beginnings of the friendship between Cinderella and Snow White. Also to be explored is Cinderella's link with the mystical Land of Untold Stories. Her return will be expected as a rousing comeback after she last appeared on the show in episode 7 of the fourth season.
Emilie de Ravin will also be returning to reprise her role as Belle/Lacey. In fact, she was reported to have filmed some scenes on the show's set with Captain Killian "Hook" Jones (Colin O'Donoghue).
Undoubtedly, the exploration of the realm of Land of Untold Stories opens countless — even unlimited — possibilities for characters and stories for the upcoming season. In fact, a new character is set to join the next run of "Once Upon a Time."
Not many details have been revealed about the role except that it will be a character out of Alexandre Dumas' novel, "The Count of Monte Cristo."
The story — which revolves around the unjust imprisonment of an innocent man who, upon his release, sets out to avenge himself against those who perpetrated the outrage on him — is speculated to become the same history as that of the new character to be introduced.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor who will portray this guest role in season 6 of "Once Upon a Time" is Craig Horner, who starred in the highly popular series, "The Legend of the Seeker." Horner is confirmed to play the Count of Monte Cristo, but again, as to what the character will do is being jealously guarded.
"Once Upon a Time" season 6 will premiere on Sept. 25 on ABC.
