'Once Upon a Time' season 6 spoilers, news: Heroes to use magical weapon against Evil Queen; EPs share teasers for midseason finale
Danger looms in the upcoming midseason finale of ABC's hit fantasy drama "Once Upon a Time."
Titled "Wish You Were Here," the show's 10th episode will see if the residents of Storybrooke can stop the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) from her sinister plans. According to spoiler reports, the upcoming fall finale finds the heroes discovering a new weapon that could wound the villainous character. However, a happy ending is still far from the horizon despite Charming (Josh Dallas) and Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) seemingly coming back to their regal ways.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis shared teasers on what's in store for fans when the series heads to its fall finale. "In a season that's seen a returning Evil Queen, a Savior in crisis, and a renegade genie all facing a dire prophecy, hope returns to Storybrooke in the form of a magical wish," said Horowitz. Unfortunately, like all magic, it will come with a price. "It upends the lives of all the heroes and villains," Kitsis added.
Following a one-week break due to the American Music Awards, "Once Upon a Time" will be back on Sunday with a new episode. Titled "Changelings," the next episode will feature an hour of programming featuring huge story arcs for Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Rumple (Robert Carlyle). It doesn't necessarily mean that viewers should forget about Regina (also played by Parrilla) though, as she is currently going through a lot of difficulties in her life.
As a Thanksgiving treat, Horowitz posted yet another "Once Upon a Time" script tease for his Twitter followers. It seems that "Changelings" will feature a confrontation between Regina and the Evil Queen. "You wouldn't... Not for her," the Evil Queen says in one scene, to which Regina replies: "Really? Let's find out."
"Once Upon a Time" season 6 airs Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
