'One Punch Man' season 2 air date, spoilers, update: Coming in December 2016; Lord Boros to return?
The Japanese superhero web comic "One Punch Man" is getting a season 2 and it's no surprise because the first season turned out to be a big hit. Now, fans are looking forward to its second run.
According to reports, the wait will be cut short as it's said that "One Punch Man" season 2 will start airing sometime in December this year. The exact release date is not confirmed though so reports should be taken with a grain of salt.
It's also said that season 2 will be coming with more episodes. If the first season had only 12 episodes, fans can expect 19 episodes for the upcoming season.
Spoilers also suggested that season 2 will pick up right after the events from the season 1 finale. The alleged title of the first episode is "The Strongest Hero" and it's said to mark the return of Lord Boros.
Fans may recall that Lord Boros was defeated by Saitama. But it seems like it's not the end for the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves as he is said to regain his regenerative abilities.
He is said to seek revenge against Saitama and it's going to be intense as he will acquire power that will allow him to beat Saitama's punches. Does this mean that Lord Boros will finally beat Saitama? But Lord Boros' return could also trigger the release of Saitama's most powerful "Serious Punch" in order to defeat his old foe.
Spoilers also reveal that Saitama will need to gather all his strength and power so that he can easily survive a face-off with the new villain, Amai Mask, who is known to be hero turned evil after being persuaded to join the dark forces.
Saitama is also reported to get in a battle with Garou, a former disciple of Bang who was removed from the dojo for starting a riot. Garou and Amai Mask are expected to add in more thrill and tension to the series.
Stay tuned for more updates on "One Punch Man."
