'One Punch Man' season 2 spoilers: Weakened Saitama to face more powerful opponents?
The premiere episode of "One Punch Man" season 2 might still be a year away from being released, but plot speculations continue to come out.
Rumors claimed that that the second season of the anime edition of Yusuke Murata's popular superhero manga could still revolve around the adventures of its main protagonist, Saitama. But in the upcoming season, the most powerful being in the universe will no longer be as strong as he was in the first season after losing some of his powers.
According to reports, Saitama will face more enemies in "One Punch Man" season 2. The rumored enemies are reportedly stronger and more powerful than the protagonist, which means that he must exert more efforts to defeat them.
There are also reports claiming that Saitama's greatest nemesis, Lord Boros, will return from the dead next season, and the leader of The Dark Matter Thieves will be stronger and more ruthless even if his armor was destroyed by Saitama in season 1.
Also, other reports claimed that King might surpass Saitama's power when the anime series returns for its sophomore season. According to rumors, the typically weak member of the S-Class superheroes will have more power in season 2. He will even be considered as more powerful compared with Saitama.
Since Saitama was the only one who knows that King does not really possess the skills to become a hero, there could be a chance to see King challenge the most powerful being in the universe to prove that he also has what it takes to be called a hero.
While plot details continue to be mere speculations at this moment, there are also claims that the next installment of "One Punch Man" season 2 could be released by Madhouse sometime in October 2017. However, the anime studio remains mum about the show's release date.
