'Orange is the New Black' Season 3 Air Date, Plot Rumors: Netflix Reveals 14 New Episode Titles

According to Larvene Cox, the third season of Orange is The New Black will be touching both the serious and comedic side. Several cast members of the T.V series were present in the recent MTV VMAs and Cox has revealed some details about the upcoming season of the show.

"We started shooting season three the first week of June. We should be done around the end of this year. It's amazing. I think more of [what we saw in season two], but what our show does so well is it has a balance between the very serious and the comedic," she stated in an interview.

According to her, focusing too much on serious crimes and a dark plot is not really that beneficial and fun for the series, hence the idea of introducing more parts that lighten the mood a few notches.

A host of new characters will also be introduced to the show, and many regulars will be returning. This includes Laura Prepon, who portrays the role of Alex Vause. Spoilers also point to a news that Mike Birbiglia will also be making his appearance in the third season of the series. Aside from these spoilers, not much has been revealed just yet regarding the plot. But fans should expect the usual drama mixed in with some comedy characters and scenes.

Orange is The New Black will be back on Netflix this coming summer of 2015 and a list of the episode titles has already been released. They are as follows:
