'Orange is the New Black' season 5 air date, latest spoilers, update: Piper is the next to die; Taryn Manning leaves?

"Orange is the New Black" season 5 isn't coming out until next year but fans are already getting some updates on the possible events that will unfold in the comedy-drama web series.

According to spoilers, another major character death is going to happen in the fifth installment. There is no official word about it but rumors are rife that the next unlucky character is going to be Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling).

After the untimely death of Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley), Piper's life could be the next one in danger at Litchfield Penitentiary. But who is going to kill her? Fans may recall that Piper created an enemy out of Stella Carlin (Ruby Rose) because Piper put her in trouble. Piper was the reason why Stella was transferred to a maximum-security prison because she wanted Stella to learn her lesson for messing with her. Stella withdrew Piper's profits in the underwear business. So now, fans are speculating that Stella will get her revenge.

Then again, someone else could be the reason for Piper's demise. Rumor has it that Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) may kill Piper in the upcoming new season.

In an interview with Pop Sugar, Schilling teased that Piper's fate in season 5 is going to be difficult. The question of whether she makes it out in one piece or not will have to be something that fans should watch out for.

In other news, Taryn Manning, who plays the role of Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Dogget, is rumored to depart the series. This means that she may no longer be appearing in season 5 and it's all because she will be heading to rehab. Manning admitted that she has drinking problems so she voluntarily entered rehab. Will she be leaving the show for good then? It's less likely that the show will let her go as her character is one of the most loved.

Fans will have to stay tuned to find out. "Orange is the New Black" season 5 will premiere in June next year.
