'Orange is the New Black' season 5 air date, spoilers, news: Lolly is not going anywhere after all
Fans won't have to worry about "Orange is the New Black" as it has been renewed for season 5 already. However, it is a different story as to who will be back and who is not.
Thankfully, fans will not have to miss Lolly (Lori Petty) because she is likely to be back, despite the situation she was in during the last season.
"Orange is the New Black" season 5 is currently in production. Back in July, Petty was still waiting for a phone call from the people behind the show regarding reprising her role.
A post on the official Instagram account of the Netflix show suggests that Petty is back on the set as Lolly for "Orange is the New Black" season 5.
A selfie of the star in character was shared with a caption "Back to the grind," suggesting that she one of the people who are back for the "Orange is the New Black" season 5 filming.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Petty said that while she cannot say for sure, she "absolutely" thinks fans will see her character again in "Orange is the New Black" season 5.
"I'm just waiting on the phone call to get back on the plane. I'm sure it will come, but we have 13 episodes and they've got a lot to take care of, so we'll see," the actress said.
By the end of the last season, Petty's character was dragged to the psych ward. Although she might be there a while, away from the action, "Orange is the New Black" season 5 is still expected to follow her story.
The show has already followed characters who were sent to Security Housing Unit (SHU) and the Maximum Security. Although a psych ward is a first, it is believed fans will be taken there in the new season.
"Orange is the New Black" season 5 will premiere next year on Netflix.
