The fourth season of "Orange Is the New Black" ended with the shocking death of Poussey, and with it ending in a cliffhanger, it looks like season 5 could be treading various directions. Will another death occur in the upcoming fifth season?

The showrunners and cast members of "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 are yet to spill the juicy details of the next installment, but according to speculations, there could be one or more deaths happening. However, season 5 will not be all about deaths, as some familiar faces are expected to make a comeback.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lori Petty, who plays Lolly Whitehill in the series, shared that her character might be coming back for season 5. Lolly was taken away to the psychiatric ward after it was thought to be the best option for her, so she wasn't much of a factor in season 4.

"I certainly hope so. I do think we will. I can't say for sure, but I absolutely think we will," Petty tells THW. "They are just now filming episode one [of season five] and you know how we ended season four. They have a lot to deal with right now! I'm just waiting on the phone call to get back on the plane. I'm sure it will come, but we have 13 episodes and they've got a lot to take care of, so we'll see."

Meanwhile, in an interview with Popsugar, Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman in the series, hinted that her character will see tough times ahead in season 5. According to the 32-year-old actress, survival will be foremost in Piper's mind as she spends time in Litchfield, so much so that she gradually forgets the idea of who she thought she was before.

There was a scene in the finale where it looked like Piper was getting her hand smashed off, but in the interview with the above-mentioned outlet, she revealed that she doesn't know what will become of Piper when "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 returns. Was that Schilling's subtle way of hinting at her character's death?
