Orlando Magic trade rumors update: Should the Magic trade Vucevic?
Two games into the 2016-17 season and the Orlando Magic immediately find themselves in a hole as they are 0-2 and at the bottom of the Southeast Division.
Orlando made changes earlier on, with the most notable updates being big men Bismack Biyombo and Serge Ibaka.
With Nikola Vucevic already in the line-up, many were hopeful that the Magic would be a good team, but so far it has not been the case.
And now, some talks are immediately linking Vucevic to a move away from Florida.
While the results so far have not been directly Vucevic's fault, he may be used as a piece to get a better player to complement the current roster the Magic has at the moment.
The first two losses of the Magic have been blowouts, with a 108-96 loss to the Miami Heat to start the year and a 108-83 defeat to the Detroit Pistons.
By trading Vucevic, they might get interest from other teams who are willing to give up capable guards or swingmen in order to diversify the way the Magic plays.
So far, Vucevic played well in the game against the Heat where he scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
Against the Pistons, he was a non-factor as he only scored seven points on 3-of-12 shooting.
Vucevic has shown that he is capable of more as his career averages 14.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
However, the abundance of big men could slow his game down and it may be a bad thing for the Magic at the moment.
Vucevic still has a long contract with Orlando as he is set to earn around $11.7 million this year. There should be a lot of interest for a center who can play on both ends and is still relatively young.
If the season of the Magic does not improve, then it could be possible for Vucevic to make his way out.
