'Outlander' season 3 spoilers: Mr. Willoughby actor spotted on Edinburgh set?

Many new characters out of Diana Gabaldon's books will be introduced in "Outlander" season 3. Apparently, Mr. Willoughby will be one of them, at least based on the latest reports.

Gary Young, who most recently starred in the film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny," is reportedly tapped to give life to the character.

The actor was spotted on the set of "Outlander" season 3 in Edinburgh, where the production has since moved. It is believed that Young will play the role of Mr. Willoughby.

Mr. Willoughby, whose real name is Yi Tien Cho, is a bureaucratic scholar in the Imperial Chinese government. He ends up as an exile in Edinburgh after involving himself with one of the emperor's royal wives, who noticed his talent in poetry.

Jamie, played by Sam Heughan in "Outlander," encounters Yi Tien Cho and gives him the nickname Mr. Willoughby. He was starving and was in a really bad shape, until he stepped in to help.

It is important to note that Young is yet to be confirmed for the role of Mr. Willoughby, but it has already been announced that the character will appear in "Outlander" season 3.

Mr. Willoughby is just one of the slew of characters set to appear in the new season. Characters like the Dunsany sisters, Geneva (Hannah James) and Isobel (Tanya Reynolds) and Mary McNab (Emma Campbell-Jones) will also be in "Outlander" season 3.

Followers of the books by Gabaldon would know that two of these characters will get intimate with Jamie, but not in the most conventional way.

An older version of Fergus to be played by Cesar Domboy will also be in "Outlander" season 3 although the younger version played by Romann Berrux will still be part of the season too.

"Outlander" season 3 will start with Jamie and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) many years apart from each other, establishing a life without each other and trying to accept they will never be together again.
