'Outlander' season 3 spoilers: new BTS photos tease print shop scene, older Fergus

Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) in "Outlander" | Starz

The folks behind "Outlander" season 3 are careful not to let slip precious spoilers for the new season, but they do help fans tide over the long wait.

The show's executive producer Matthew Roberts teased the print shop scene, the one that fans of the series, especially those who read the books by author Diana Gabaldon, are most excited about.

The print shop scene will mark an important turning point for Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and so fans want to make sure that "Outlander" season 3 will get it right. In one of his recent posts, Roberts shared a photo showing A. Malcolm, which, of course, the name of the print shop. He did not elaborate on it though, but it was enough to get fans excited. With the filming in Edinburgh, behind-the-scenes photos from "Outlander" season 3 were snapped by fans who were in the area. Spotted was Cesar Domboy, who will join the show as an older version of Fergus played by Romann Berrux.

This shows that after filming their scenes for "Outlander" season 3 separately since Jamie and Claire are not together at the beginning of the season, the current focus of the production is now the time after their reunion.

Like Roberts, Gabaldon is also doing her best to help fans get by the wait for "Outlander" season 3. The novelist recently spoke about how the season is so far when she was asked by a fan.

"It's fantastic!  All seasons really well done, but S3's chronology easier to handle, so closer to book's flow," she explained. Her answer suggests that the show will be a little closer to the events of the book, "Voyager," where it is based.

Starz is yet to announce the premiere date of "Outlander" season 3, but an April release is expected.
