'Overwatch' news update: July Blizzard panel to introduce new hero?
Blizzard Entertainment's "Overwatch" has been gaining attention lately after word that a big announcement will be made at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con 2016. This year's Comic Con will be previewed July 20, and will run from July 21 to 24.
It was reported that a Blizzard panel at the Comic Con will be held on July 21, entitled "Behind the Scenes of Overwatch's Newest Hero." The panel will be devoted to a discussion of a new hero which will come out for the first-person shooter video game, "Overwatch." It is also expected that updates on the game development and release date will be revealed during the event.
Reports say that this rumored character is a sniper, something that will hopefully be confirmed at the anticipated gathering. However, hints are heavy that this sniper/medic/healer hybrid will be named Sombra.
"Overwatch" fans found out about the character from the Dorado map. A clipping of news regarding the character and some of its images, where it appeared hooded, have all contributed to the speculations regarding this new hero coming out. Some have it that Sombra was in the same battle as Soldier 76 and Reaper, when they were defeated.
Things became even more exciting when fans turned up another image on Twitter, this time of a sniper rifle which will purportedly also be playable on the game. It also supports the theory that the upcoming hero that will be unveiled is some sort of a healer and the sniper rifle is to be used solely for healing purposes.
In the meantime, Tracer, an existing character in the "Overwatch" multiplayer video game, has been tagged as its "best" character so far. This is no doubt accurate as Tracer is presently considered "the face of the game."
