Pastor Saeed Abedini to Christians: Reach out to Muslims with love of Jesus, otherwise Muslims will reach out to Christians with jihad

Iranian-American pastor Saeed Abedini issued a warning to Christians that they could suffer repercussions if they don't reach out to Muslims with Christian love.

"If we dont reach Muslims with the love of Jesus Christ, they will reach us with the love of Allah, which is jihad," wrote Abedini on Facebook, saying it was the message he gave during an interview at the Gold Creek Church in Mill Creek, Washington.

Abedini was a former Muslim who converted to Christianity in 2000 at the age of 20. He founded Christian home groups in Iran and had been given credit for establishing around 100 house churches with at least 2,000 members in 30 cities in the country. He was reportedly arrested and detained nine times for sharing the Gospel, after which he was sentenced to eight years in prison.

In March following the bombing in Lahore, Pakistan, Abedini slammed those Muslims who claim that Islam is peaceful. The Facebook post is no longer available but The Christian Post quoted him as saying, "If Muslims say: we are peaceful, 'it's a lie.' The Qur'an teaches that Muslims must fight and kill (Jihad) unbelievers. 'Wherever you overtake them' until 'religion is Allah's,' i.e. Islamic law rules all societies (2.Sura Al _Baqarah(Cow) 2:190-193). Regarding to the Qur'an's verse, Christians and Jews are included to make them Muslim or kill them in entire the world."

He said that those practising "real Islam" destroys churches and kills Christians every day, and the Muslims who believe in respect and peace are "making up a new religion." He also said there is no place where Islam works peacefully.

"So, where is the place which the most completest religion of the world known as Islam (as Muslims say) and Muslims believe that works peacefully in the entire world?!" he said. "The answer is 'NO WHERE.'"
