The Pebble Steel and the LG G Watch R are far apart in terms of specs and design, but it is clear that both are great smartwatches that provide good bang for the buck.
Design
The LG G Watch R has a round watch face unlike that of Pebble Steel which is rectangular. But the two devices share a similarity in their build as they are mostly made from stainless steel and aluminum. The LG G Watch R comes with a default leather version that can be replaced with any default 22mm strap. Coming to the Pebble Steel, it comes in two colors: black and silver. Its default strap is again a leather version, but a steel strap can be purchased separately. However, the strap on the Pebble Steel cannot be swapped with any other 22mm strap. In terms of water and dust resistance, the Pebble Steel has a 5 atmosphere rating, which means it can be used up to a depth of 50 meters underwater. The LG G Watch R has an IP67 rating, which means it can be safely dunked in one meter of water for 30 minutes.

The Pebble Steel has a 1.26-inch black and white non-touch screen with a resolution of 168X164 pixels and density of 176 pixels per inch. As for the LG G Watch R, it has a 1.3-inch P-OLED display with a resolution of 320 x 320 and density of 246 pixels per inch.
Specs
On the LG G Watch R is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz, internal storage of 4 GB and 512MB RAM. As for the Pebble Steel, it has a 120 MHz single core processor and 1 MB of internal storage which can only accommodate eight apps.
