'Penny Dreadful' Season 2 News, Plot Spoilers: Bloody Monday on Set
"Penny Dreadful" is living up to its namesake as producer Christopher King reveals a preview of "another bloody Monday" situation on the set.
King posted a picture on Twitter with a blood scene fans will see in the coming episodes. The photo was captioned, "Another bloody Monday on the set of #PennyDreadful @SHO_Penny @skyatlantic @JamesEHawes"
The blood fest could be linked to the photo King also posted last Saturday. The photo shows a crew of stunt performers practicing for the show. "Saturday morning #PennyDreadful stunt rehearsal," wrote King.
However, the intense action shots might not be seen until Episode 2 after Director James Hawes confirmed the completion of the first episode on Monday.
"That's a wrap on #PennyDreadful Block1!" Hawes posted.
Hawes also hinted that the new season had major elements incorporated in the premiere.
"I have just watched a first cut of the Season 2 opening episode... It has its moments," Hawes said.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that aside from the action scenes, the Victorian supernatural drama will also feature a lot of guts, blood and scares. Makeup designer and Key Prosthetic Makeup Artist Sarita Allison has been helping the crew appear more realistic, especially the monsters.
"Just bought myself a #VivienWestwood Tote bag to reward myself for all the #disturbing and #beautiful #makeupfx I've done #PennyDreadful..." Allison posted.
"Penny Dreadful" will be back on Showtime in 2015.
