PlayStation 4 Pro release date, updates and news: New trailer for PS4 Pro/'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' released

Sony promotes the PS4 Pro with an '80s-inspired commercial | Youtube/Push Square

For quite some time, online console gamers have been openly mocked by PC users who have claimed themselves as a "master race" for being able to play games at 4K resolution. This month will see the release of the PS4 Pro, a console which boasts of playing native 4K resolution and a new trailer for it has been released.

Ironically enough, though the PS4 Pro is said to bring the console to the future, the trailer cleverly draws inspiration from commercials from the '80s. Aside from promoting the PS4 Pro itself, the game also has an ad for "Zombies in Spaceland," a feature that goes with the upcoming "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."

The consoles are making huge steps forward when it comes to the "Console vs. PC" debate. Just recently, Sony was able to launch the Playstation VR. Virtual Reality used to be something exclusive to PC users before that. With Sony bragging to bring 4K resolution to its console games, even Microsoft tried to catch up by releasing the Xbox One Project Scorpio.

As mentioned before, the PS4 Pro boasts of native 4K gaming, and reports are saying that it can also provide an enhanced PSVR experience by offering sharper images and higher frame rates. The PS4 Pro is also said to have an internal storage of 1 TB; that's double the amount of the average PS4 which has an internal storage of 500 GB.

The good news is that for those who don't want to upgrade their systems, games that come out will not be exclusive to the PS4 Pro. From October 2016, every game that is released would come with a "base" version and a "Pro" version. This makes it compatible for both the PS4 and PS4 Pro. The Pro can also play games that don't support 4K, so gamers don't have to replace their entire library.

The PS4 Pro is said to be released on Friday, Nov. 11.
