PlayStation Plus October 2016 free games lineup list: Includes 'Resident Evil,' 'Mad Riders,' 'Actual Sunlight' and more
The free games for the month of September for PlayStation Plus members are now expired. It's not something to be gloomy about, though, as Sony has already released the PlayStation Plus October 2016 games lineup.
Saying goodbye to the September 2016 free game titles, PlayStation players can welcome the new six games, two each for PlayStation 4 (PS4), PS3 and PS Vita. As detailed in a report, gamers have a reason to be excited as Sony has included AAA-titles in the roster.
Part of that list is the "Resident Evil" which will be free for PS4 console users. The title is noted to be the remastered HD version, which is fitting for the upcoming Halloween holiday. With a download size of 14.2 GB, the game will give players a better gaming experience following the storyline set in the year 1998, wherein a special forces team investigated murders in Raccoon City.
Sony mentioned in a blog post that the game is also made free to celebrate Capcom's 20th anniversary of the franchise. Paired with "Resident Evil" is another AAA-title, "Transformers: Devastation," the hack and slash video game based on the "Transformers" franchise. PS4 gamers can enjoy the robot-to-vehicle attacks, slam downs, counterattacks and more for free. It will also feature famous characters Optimus Prime, Megatron, the Decepticons and other Autobots.
For PS3 gamers, they will be able to download "Mad Riders" and "From Dust" for free. The former is an off-road racing experience, while the latter is a god video game that let players assume godlike powers to save a tribe. The game sizes are 1.3 GB and 929 MB, respectively.
Meanwhile, the free downloads for PS Vita gamers for the month of October are "Code: Realize Guardian of Rebirth," a visual novel otome game, and "Actual Sunlight," an indie game with a short interactive story about protagonist Evan Winter.
PlayStation Plus members get to enjoy these freebies along with exclusive deals and discounts like access to games even before they are actually released.
