Pokemon 'Omega Ruby,' 'Alpha Sapphire' Release Date News: Shiny Charizard Available
Gamers playing the Pokemon videogames "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" are set to get their hands on the Shiny Charizard Pokemon as the Shiny Charizard Event has started in the U.K.
The Pokemon is being distributed by GAME retail stores using a serial code. Players eager to have the Shiny Charizard should hurry as the serial code is available only until April 19. It is, however, redeemable until July 2 of this year, according to the International Business Times.
The Shiny Charizard uses the moves Hold Hands and Charizardite Y. But to download the Pokemon, players still have to update the game to the latest version.
In related news, Game Freak, the developer of the videogames, finally has new updates for Pokemon "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire." These updates can also be access by players of Pokemon X and Y. The new patch will be available to players through Nintendo 3DS. For Pokemon X and Y, players will need 246 blocks for download while those who play Pokemon "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" will need 271.
Game Freak also announced a double-battle competition this month, the 2015 International Challenge April. Its rules will be the same as that of Video Game Championships of National Pokedex, but players will not be able to use the standard range of the legends.
Those who would like to join should register anytime from April 16 to 23 before the competition starts on April 24. It will last until April 26.
The entry gift that players will receive is yet to be announced, but it has already been said that top 256 players will receive championship points that will allow them to compete in the 2015 Pokémon World Championships.
Pokémon "Omega Ruby' and "Alpha Sapphire" take place in Hoenn, a region that has a main island stretching from east to west and surrounded by islets. A live volcano can be found at the heart of the island. Players can build a "Super-Secret Base," which invited friends from around the world can visit.
